I'M So Jealous

~The One That Got Away~

Here I lay weeping

I sing a sad song to sleep

Fire cracking bones

kicking, screaming, pulling hair

The moment, gone forever

Love can sometimes make you go a little stir crazy, eh. A very honest poem that hits home to most of us readers. Love your work, Skat. More love and blessings to you.

Sometimes the best lines come when we are kicking, screaming and then disappear when we look for paper and pen.

The creative mind is singing in this Tanka Skat. You always seem to come out with your own special way of putting the words down. You can paint such graphic imagery with your golden pen, even in such short work as a Tanka. Has to be a seven and a fave for this Tanka offers so much....Vladislav

"Tanka" for the poem! Terrible pun I know. This was vibrant with us seeing the snapshot of love lost, the pain. Excellent in showing the act of emotion in the feeling of jealousy. In just 22 words you conveyed heartbreak. That's a 7

Love this thing-of-the-moment piece. Like - it came to me in a flash, the meaning of life, then was gone forever. Great tanka. Love, daver
