I'm Not Perfect

I’m so far from perfect. Sometimes, I let fears discourage me. Many times, I let shadows worry me. Sometimes, I let the tears fall silently. Other times, I can’t seem to find a way to breathe… Through the pain, the dread, the dismay, All those things that make me feel so much shame. I’m so far from perfect, you see! There are days when I can’t find the faith to pray. There are moments when hope doesn’t come my way. There are times when I just don’t know how to say… Love is the promise that will always make me stay! I’m so far from perfect. Sometimes, I let the darkness of night surround me. Many times, I let the irritations dampen my spirits. Sometimes, I let the doubts fill me with apprehension. Other times, I can’t seem to find the light beyond the grief, The assurance of a love that can ease the heavy weight, All the stress from listening to the anxieties in my head. I’m so far from perfect, you see! There are days when I can’t find the enthusiasm to dream. There are moments when I lose all my self-esteem. There are times when my wishes are not what they seem. Still, His love is mine and He will always redeem! I’m so far from perfect – but, yes, oh yes, I believe… With Jesus here inside me, stirring a love so sweet, I know what it means to let go of those doubts, Reach out with faith, with hope, with grace – believing… Forever and always, He is with me, reminding me – He is the One who provides for me – grace that decides, for me… Love is the answer to every need – And, He is the love that abides – Everlasting, always, forever – He is the love that I need! I’m so far from perfect… But He is perfect – completely And, because He loves me… He will light up the darkness within me!
