I'M Just Me

When asked how I am today
This is what I say.

Not good
Not bad
Just me.

No one likes a complainer.
No one likes a bragger.

Neither of these will I be
If I'm JUST ME.

Just a shout-out post to all Terry Lee's friends and followers: My Dear sister Terry Lee made 'the Transition' at the end of January 2017. In an effort to preserve her work; I am reviewing all her poems. As I scan through your comments, I discover aspects of Terry I had not been in touch with; and I appreciate your compassionate, kind words; gifts that have facilitated my own comfort. Consciousness is energy we all share which cannot be destroyed. Thanks to all of you. Thom Allen

How are you is a perfunctory question and 9 out of 10 times no one wants the answer any way. Thanks for your kind words and kindness to review. TLee

People don't really expect you to say much of anything anyway and usually hope that you don't. At least when I say this it makes them smile. Thanks for stopping by. Huggs TLee

Terry! I do believe you are 'just you'... and that's the way to be... Nice poem!! It seems you've not received a Soupmail from me (although sent, at least attempted). I've tried to reconstruct it... and send the reconstruction... If you've still received nothing ;-< , let me know... Terry

I learned a long time ago that if you complain they get tired of you and if you bragg they get angry after a while. Most don't want to hear what they ask for anyway. So I found an answer I could safely give without offense. Huggs TLee

95 % of the time How are you today is nothing more than a rhetorical question which no one really wants the answer to but asks to feign interest in another to give a good impression of one's self to those within earshot. Just telling it like it is. Thanks for stopping by Kash. TLee
