I’m just a simp

It costs nothing to be kind
Our morals and values may not be aligned
From a bad start in life
I don’t deal in strife
I don’t do mind games
Or make false claims
I started writing poems of self therapy
Something of unfamiliarity
But writing is harmless
Good bad or bizarreness
People take kindness for weakness
Others take it for bleakness
I’m a boring and simple man
A man with no ambition or plan
No form of real education
No massive drive or aspiration
A plain and simple mind
So easily undermined
People and creatures take advantage
Have no problem giving me a disadvantage
I just take it on the chin
And swear like a sailor in sin
To myself and the ones I trust
Thinking I need to be more robust
Whether it is animals or employers
They know they can use powers
To make me their simp
To them I’m just a wimp
Who they can mould
And I can be controlled
Just ask my pets
They place bets
To see how many treats they can get
I’m no threat
They win every time
They bark and chime
Look at me with those big loving eyes
A cry and those big sighs
The garden birds act hard done by
When the food is out of supply
I will be the simp and give them what they want
Life spanks me and I am a servant
As I am just a simp.
