I'M Going To Sea In a Blueberry Boat
I’m going to sea in a blueberry boat
With dainty peony sails prettily stitched
And a hundred fish to help keep me afloat
We ride the waves smiling as if all bewitched
The dolphins come to leap and frolic all day
Mermaids sing songs of oceans salty delight
The licorice night settles upon the milky way
The stars sparkle about my gilded moon kite
In the morning falls raindrops of pink popping soda
That makes my tummy hungry for a Chinese stir fry
So we dock at the nearest floating paper pagoda
And soon place a tall order with a bald-headed guy
Then off we set sail to find a shimmering rainbow
But the west wind blows us way off our true course
And I have to lasso a passer-by singing cowboy crow
Whose navigation skills are true and I will endorse
We arrived at the harbor in time to say prayers
To bed we all went, fishes, mermaids and sleepy me
All wrapped in our blankets of cotton candy layers
Dreaming of sugar plums dancing free on the sea
