I'M Going Home
When sickness fell upon me
God carefully took me in his arms
He told me that his love
Was greater than any good luck charm
He said it was time to return home
To continue our walk on golden sand
I'm here to bring you peace
There will be no more chaos in my land
He took my hand in his
While leading me toward a bright light
But God, what about my children?
Don't worry, I'll see to it that they're alright
They know you're now at peace
No more worry, No more pain
Today's forecast for you
Is forever more sunny, with no chance of rain
They will deal with their grief through me
And I'll slowly wipe away the pain
The imprint that your love made
On their hearts and minds will remain
They will find comfort in your memory
And in the souls feel the warmth of your love
It's now time that they set you free
Like a beautiful, care free dove
Children. I know you don't understand
But one day I will reveal to you
Why this terrible loss and pain
I allowed you to go through
But until that day comes
It will surely be nice
To know in your heart, that even though she fell asleep on our side
She'll awake in paradise.
