I’m Done

I’m done
I’m done fighting for every scrap
I’m done caring about others who don’t care
I’m done taking the hit time after time
I’m done being walked all over
I’m done scraping by
I’m done being the one picking up the pieces
I’m done being the one putting in all the effort
I’m done being the only one fighting for what’s right
I’m done with putting everyone else first
I’m done neglecting myself
I’m done feeling alone
I’m done with the only one taking responsibility
I’m done being the reliable one
I’m done being taken advantage of
I’m done with being resentful
I’m done with basic needs not being met
I’m done with not getting basic respect
I’m done

I get it…happens to the responsible. Don’t give up. It does mean something though it doesn’t always feel like it. Great poem!
