I'm Cuckoo, Nuts, Completely Daft

Like an addled cuckoo that garbles
the birdsong that he warbles,
I've experienced many strains.
I've got gremlins in my brains,
and I've lost my marbles.

Haha, "Better Nuts and Gardens". I don't know why, but this review of Wuthering Heights, when that book first came out, from Graham's Lady Magazine pops into my head (source: Wikipedia): "How a human being could have attempted such a book as the present without committing suicide before he had finished a dozen chapters, is a mystery. It is a compound of vulgar depravity and unnatural horrors".
