Illumined Path
Night donned sparkle of moonbeam,
drizzled from sky when it gleamed
on the cascade of stardust,
draping my wasteland dreams flushed.
Lost in desert with no glare,
I saw in you the pole star,
took me to your aurora,
sank in longing patina.
Like the sky your silk face blushed
in my dream hued by sunburst,
missed path to you illumined
in new dawn’s enticing light.
