To the mountaintop, the moon, and back In times of peace and war, From daybreak to sundown Until the Mississippi River runs dry I'll walk alongside you Sunday, Monday, and always From pitch-darkness to a beacon of light Through pathways of life fraught With boomerang possibilities I'll walk alongside you Across the murkiest of waters Through obstacles and towering infernos Through life's joys and sorrows Through the razor's edge I'll walk alongside you When your legs grow weak with fatigue, When your body and spirit deplete Through the roughest of terrains Come what may I'll walk alongside you ( Verse) Date written and posted: 06/13/2016
