Ill Fitting Mask
i see by your by smile,
that you lost everything.
scarficed your soul
and gain only emptiness.
no sunshine lingers
only cruel frost
and hardened stone.
i don’t believe
your tough guy act
and the big man’ s pose.
your words are shaped
from a coward’s tongue.
trying to give comfort
to the lost child
that weeps within.
you need to climb a mountain
and scream at the stars .
and embrace the joy
of a rising dawn,
i hope you wil sleep with girl
that can be true,
and you’ll understand
the true nature of beauty,
and not measure your existence
in pounds shillings and pence.
