If You Wear a Mask

If you wear a mask, They won't know that you forgot to shave this morning. If you wear a mask, You won't have to worry about a dog licking your face. If you wear a mask, You will not fear a kiss from an over exuberant great Aunt. If you wear a mask, Your Mother will not be able to wipe your face with a damp dish cloth. If you wear a mask, You can avoid a thick lip. If you wear a mask, You can wear any colour of lipstick. If you wear a mask, The fact you dribble a lot will not be noticeable. If you wear a mask, The size of your nose will not be a talking point. If you wear a mask, You stand a better chance of winning at cards.

Where I live, if you wear a mask you will keep your face warm! Tee hee. I liked this poem as I do your others. It is so clever and correct. I'm sure make- up companies took a hit, but knowing they are worth billions, I don't feel bad 4 them.

Poetry soup brings out the best in most I think. Not always sure where my poetry springs from. Sometimes seemingly out of nowhere, so suspect I have divine help especially when I get such nice comments back. If a subject comes to mind I feel drawn to the computer to bring it alive. Very best regards David in NZ
