If You Love Her

Listen to her with all of you Your fists clenched Your lips together Your head moving, slightly, side to side Perched on the edge of your seat Tilt your spine forward Search for the soul deep within her eyes Gently ... Don't frighten her Make her feel she is the most important person in the whole world Nothing else matters except what she is telling you Hear what is in her voice Her interests ... become yours Capture her heart Never let it go

That is the way to capture her heart. Sadly no man I know of knows this. Your lady is lucky.

Thanks for the acknowledgment, Tansy... I just do the best I can to 'shut-up and listen.' ... Learned from the Patriarch Abraham, whom God told: "Listen 'in' her (Sarah's) voice," meaning that Abraham should hear the tone and timbre of his wife's voice. I.e., he should hear her emotions first and respond to them... Someone once taught me to say 'You sound upset,' or 'You sound frustrated.' Works wonders. Thanks again and Happy Weekend, Gershon

A poem revisited, Gershon. What awesome wisdom, especially when we realize that we never know what little time we have with our loved ones. A FAVE for sure.

Whoa! A fave! I am honored and humbled, Haley ... And to think that a poem of mine might have had and actually might have (going forward) a practical application?! Wow. You have truly made my day. Thank you, thank you for your comments. Best wishes, Gershon

My hubby and I are celebrating our 13th in September - part of what keeps us going is he makes me feel like 'the most important person in the whole world' and I try to do the same for him - the last two lines certainly captured me!
