If You Had An Offer What Would You Do
Can you consent at 16 if you can’t handle the heartbreak?
Are you developed to deal with the impact it will make?
when you suffer so much you get lost in the hate,
refusing to accept this is what you helped create
Being dumped means you’re put in a powerless position
and maybe it’s easier to think you always were
but that’s when hindsight can cause a false vision
where you had no choice though consent did occur
And you’re too immature to deal with the fact
you lost the love that you’ll never get back,
stuck living traumatised under attack
and not yet developed to get back on track
Is 16 to young to deal with the worst of it,
maybe at 18 you haven’t the skills for it,
21 might make the law seem irrelevant
making it more about your own development
A 16 year old girl looking for an older man
but when that man’s 30 they call it a scam
one off opportunity or intentional plan
or maybe us men get whatever we can
How can you judge when you don’t get the offer
when it happens to you would you choose to not bother
when you are flattered they want you as a lover
turning it down to be left thinking bugger
if her age at present is above age of consent
then it’s not your place to make a judgement
you say that it’s wrong as you think of her bent
you wouldn’t reject something that heaven has sent
Anger at things that don’t come to you,
looking down on it with a sense of virtue
as if it’s disgusting and not what you do
you’d jump at the chance if it ever came true
when you’re contradicted use contraception
with this opportunity make the exception
feeling as though luck heads in your direction
don’t turn her down she can’t handle rejection
