If You Do Not Rock the Boat

If you do not rock the boat, You may end up on the rocks. If you do not rock the boat, You may be in for a shock, If you do not rock the boat, You may have to hide behind some rocks. If you do not rock the boat, You will need a new lock. If you do not rock the boat, Someone may think it needs to be sunk with rocks. If you do not rock the boat, You may have no wages to dock. If you do not rock the boat, You will be ordering scotch on the rocks. If you do not rock the boat, You may end up in the middle of a ruck. If you do not rock the boat, Time may bury you under a pile of rocks.

Sometimes it takes courage to rock the boat, but good things can come to the braver rockers like your poem reads. Clever, clever. I never want to end up in a ‘ruck’. That’s sounds dreadful. :-)

Yes. I think poetry is sometimes written to rock the boat. Some poetry definitely makes us look at things differently. It also perhaps makes us rock our own boat? Appreciate your comments. David in NZ where the protesters are rocking our boat a bit too much.

Creative work you have penned in this one. I guess we all rock the boat from time to time in different ways. Your visit to my page is appreciated. Sara
