If Wings Were Mine
If wings were mine to take the air
I’d worry not, why would I care
Imagine all the things I’d see
If wings were mine to set me free
Reflected by the aqua seas
I’d spin and twirl as if to tease
I’d wave to mermaids every day
and catch a kiss along the way
I’d tickle treetops with the dawn
And if I should begin to yawn
With clouds for pillows all around
No need to ever touch the ground
If wings were mine to take the air
I’d brush the sunshine with my hair
Just think how happy I would be
If wings were mine to set me free
