If We Try

If we try things will get better for you and I
Things will get better one hundred fold,
the knowledge and wisdom bestowed upon us will be told
Our heavy hearts will be heavy no more
Well wear them on our sleeves, oh so bold
Every men, woman, boy and girl
can ring out the message loud and clear

If we try things will get better for you and I
No outside interaction that we don’t need
Just the ever loving reaction between us to sow our seed
Judgment no more, just peace and harmony

We can help our loved ones to be free
With things we have like honor, race, color and creed
Casting out our burdens before we crumble and die
Just like a weed.

When things get better we are able to proceed,
all of our expectations will succeed
Exoneration of poverty and greed
We’ll no longer have to plead,
All of life’s energies will be up to speed

When we try things are better for you and I.
