If We Could Just Stop

We never know when to stop do we
Yet you say you love me
How my darling can that be
When we fight so hard to be free

How can love grow through the tangled webs we weave
So darling why do you not just leave
When all is over to my heart you still cleave
I really want to belive

That someday we can find away
To put up the past and see better days
But how much more will our hearts pay
For what others have done with the words they say

The past can not hurt us if we do not let it in
I need you beside me your my best friend
But yet you want to be so strong and will not bend
So I fill our love will surely come to a end
