If We Are Fortunate
When we are young, we long for tomorrow that takes its own dear time, with no consideration of
our appointment with dream-destiny that must be kept with no allowance for delay or lateness.
Yesterday is a history class we most often skipped. Today surrounds us with beauty that we mostly ignore
until about the time when we reach beyond mid-life. That's when we look back at things we encountered
many years before that we had little time for, things that presently ignite a sigh; a sigh because we longed for things
unreal, mirages. Things never meant to be, not the plan for our lives. Things of our dreams that turned into nightmares.
If we are fortunate, we experience the beauty of redemption. And if we dare to pause the pace of our lives, we will be given
second chances with which we may seek to uncover those hidden treasures. Treasures we never realized and never valued; values that
we never treasured. Values like PEOPLE who spoke principles and wisdom into our lives. PEOPLE we dream of speaking into our lives today, but they
are gone forever. We were too busy to reap from their valued fields. Values like life-changing circumstances created by ANGELS unawares.
