If Time Stops

What if Time just stops
  Every clock world-wide ceases
be they plain wrist-watches
  or fancy computer pieces
Time goes into an icy deep-freeze

Think of the havoc it would wreak
  in the classroom, on the job
Just visualize the angry mobs
  of folks who miss their schedule
They think, of course, that they are special

O, wouldn't it be a lovely day here on Earth
  to see to what Time's death might give birth

Interesting conjecture, gw. Hmmm...let's see, time is really created by the rotation of the earth around the sun and on its own axis, isn't it? Am I right about this? That being the case, if it stopped

I really don't have the faintest idea how time came into existence. I wouldn't mind it stopping once in a while thought, or speeding up at times, or slowing down... Oh, well. Can't have everything in life.
