If Time Stood Still
If time stood still, paused the ceaseless chase,
If life were freed from each mundane, mad race,
Imagine kindness spanning every shore,
And hearts embracing all—feel rich or poor.
But wars ignite with fury, dark and deep,
With chemical, disease, and weapons that weep;
Our leaders hold us captive in their schemes,
While innocent souls shatter fragile dreams.
Yet peace and harmony could reign instead,
With love and laughter lifting every head;
A final dance beneath the twilight’s dome,
Where mercy finds its ever-lasting home.
If time stood still, a brighter dawn we’d see,
When hate dissolves and hope is bold and free;
Equality and kindness fill each place—
A gentler world for every creed and race.
