If Silence Had a Voice
If silence had a voice it would speak
About the cries of our children
Who have been used and abused ,
And robbed of their innocence and their right to choose.
The voice of silence can speak volume
Of a mother’s cry and a father’s frustration,
As they face another loss and an unfortunate situation.
A bullet to the head of a daughter or son,
As they watch their innocent blood run.
Silence has a voice that resonates
With the hopes and dreams of the future generation ,
Who wish to stand tall and rise above every situation .
If silence had a voice it would cry out in pain,
As our future generation lives will never be the same.
Robbed of their rights just to be free and have fun,
Instead of having their innocent blood run.
If silence had a voice it would not be silent –
It would speak up! And speak out!
How we have failed our children
But-
. If silence had a voice it would not be a voice of despair,
But a voice that is soft, kind and mellow to a little child everywhere.
