If Only
I was thin
Popular and Pretty
No lazy eye
No nasty habits
If Only
I had lots of money
I didn’t do the dumb things I have done
I didn’t fall for the wrong ones
If Only
I could be a great singer
Popular actress
Or even a Dancer
If Only
I were anyone but me
I could be happy
I wouldn't feel so lonely
If Only
Is gone now
I feel free
I am happy just being me
I don’t need popularity
Fame and Fortune
They would
Never have made me happy
It took a lot of time
For me to see
The biggest thing I need
Is me to be me
Fame and fortune
It’s not all that
What’s on the outside
Doesn’t matter
It’s what is inside that counts
So now I have no regrets
I can’t change the past
I will live in this moment
And put all those
If Only
Thoughts behind me
I don’t need them anymore
I have found I am happier
Just being me
