If Only

If only I could be with you
                                  And ease all of your pain

                                   Take it all upon myself
                       So that you would never hurt again	
                   
                             If only I could I stand by you
                               And inspire you each day

                   Whisper words of encouragement in your ears
                               If you should ever feel afraid.

                        If only I could cast out all of your fears
                                and take away your sorrows

                           If only I could hold you in my arms 
                             Until today becomes tomorrow
