If Only

if I had only
one message to leave
it would be
to love yourself enough
and in such a way
to make the most
of your many talents
to pursue
your every dream

if I had only
one gift to leave you
it would be a magical cloak
to protect your heart and soul
from all disparaging negativity
so you would never veer from
living all your dreams
