If My Spoon Could Talk
If my spoon could talk what would it say
Almost certainly please don't put me away
Take me out so I can sweeten your drink
Don't leave me to dry on the kitchen sink
This spoon is always ready for me to use
Whenever and whatever dessert I choose
Tall and thin this spoon is so versatile
Grey in colour and very plain in style
I'm sure my spoon enjoys being in a bowl
Maybe it gets the sense of almost total control
This spoon is part of me we've seen a lot
One of the most reliable friends that I've got
