If it wasn't for poetry

Listen to poem:
"Beauty surrounds us, but usually we need to be walking in a garden to know it." Quote By Rumi ___________________________________________ Several tears, one after the other. A sob wave pulls me forward in a gossamer haze. unable to breathe—shivering with inure fear. Why do feelings spiral out of grasp and ravel? or worry keeps raging through my mind? consider a world devoid of vestigial musings. Complete silence; I am gasping for air. wheezing, heart pounding, lungs screaming. for breath, I cling desperately to the blankets. My most arcane emotions flow unnoticed. No lyrical ariose tunes to soothe my spirit. in the lack of an auric metaphor How would my day be lacking canorous poetry? Clangor skin was covered in spiked tears. Fingers rub my chimera, and eyes ensue. Without poetry to calm, my anguish will burst Without the cooling verses, I was crestfallen Without a voice to express, how would I wish? If artists believe that clay may depict furtive views, Poets prefer paper and ink to immortalize their muse.

"Without poetry to calm, my anguish will burst Without the cooling verses, I was crestfallen Without a voice to express, how would I wish?".... When we are crest fallen, poetry comes to our aid. Gardening and poetry writing are the two engagements that keep me fully diverted from all distractions . But sometimes, I have to strain myself for the muse to be present. In you it is an all time presence! Poetry comes to you as naturally as your life breath. Your poem is beautiful and meaningful as ever.

My dear poet.. Sotto, if it wasn' t for poetry... The ones that write poetry will be death. If it wasn't for the poem you wrote, the ones we read you, we would never learn. If it wasn't for poets like you, We would never have a trail to follow. How stunning is this masterpiece! Another one. Blessings my friend!

This is so true and will resonate with many dear Sotto, somedays when i dont write i feel the same , anxious and overwhelmed like i need to release so much on paper, but digital paper. I really love the way you’ve asked this “ How would my day be lacking canorous poetry? “ i wonder too, and i love also how descriptively you’ve conveyed emotions in a soul stirring manner. “ If artists believe that clay may depict furtive views, Poets prefer paper and ink to immortalize their muse.“ profound! dearest Sotto--your poem was filled with such emotion and gut wrenching, passion-filled questions. I can identify with the gasping pain and anguish that is now being expressed through poetry. Without giving voice to one's humanity, where would any of us be...poets (and writers) prefer the pen and ink...sometimes for me it's just therapeutic. Outstanding creation, Sotto. Have to fav this one because it's so raw, powerful, and engaging. Well done, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

Imagery, and metaphor to facilitate personal growth, healing, and greater self-awareness. The need to engage in something as pure being able to throw words on a page and mold them into something divine, is surely more healing to the poet than the strongest drug. Accolades for this splendid ode to Poetry.
