If It Is Dark

Is poetry literal? If it is dark,
does the protagonist become me?
Did Poe really hide bodies in the wall?
Probably not! It is telltale, is it not?

Poe is in heaven dangling his legs off a cloud, clapping for this, raven in between him and Hitchcock.

But what if he did hide them in the walls, hmmm? The use of Poe and telltale is brilliant Kim :) Linda

I don’t think so. He was a master storyteller. My stories people try to connect with me...I am not dark but can write a dark tale. HVD sweet poet!

Poetry is not literal, as far as I can see. I write from imagination lot of the time, it’s the fantasy of fiction, is it not... Belle

Poetry can be result of one's experience. But it can come from books too. I rarely write anything about myself except my last post. ~~

For sure but many think you’re writing about yourself.

You ask a very good question Kim, to be honest I think it’s mainly imagination, maybe influenced by a dark world, thought provoking write, cheers David

I read somewhere Poe did most of his writing under the influence of arcane chemicals and powders. In short he was a junkie.;) and he was prone to bad trips. Nice job here Kim. God Bless, JB

An interesting poem...too intellectual, for this new writer. But you help expand my visual weaknesses. Stay safe
