If I Should Die,Before I Wake

If I should die
Before I wake
This soul of mine
May the good Lord take
May I soar to Heaven
On angel wings
Past the clouds on high
Beyond earth-bound things
May the angels guide me
Through the midnight sky
And hold on to my hand
As I learn to fly
May all of my worried
Be left behind
As my soul finally finds
Its own peace of mind
May my loved ones not weep
For I shalln't be alone
God's mighty army
Will lead me on home
If I should die
Before I wake
My immortal soul
May the sweet Lord take
                                         ...take me home.
