If I Ruled the World In a Pinch
if i ruled the world in a pinch
if i ruled the world, i kid
it would stop from ... laughter
on it's axis it would skid
monkeys would fall from ... rafters
masses would look at the clown
laugh, laugh, hoot and holler
nobody would wear a frown
harmony would be the next caller
in the face of laughing smiles
sits all those perky noses
eyes would soften the aisles
first timers smelling the roses
if i ruled the world, i kid
laughter would beget peace
gloom and sadness would rid
generations of hate would cease
now if it takes a clowns face
to suppress the the rotten core
and leave the world a better place
i would bow in advance of my lore
if i ruled the world in a pinch
i would grasp, grasp for every inch
