Judy Ball Poet Quatrain

If I Knew Then

IF I KNEW THEN

If I knew then what I know now,
Would I have done things different?
Would I change some things I've done,
To stop regret's occurrence?

Or perchance if I change,
My life in any way,
Would I do it different now,
Change mayhap just one day?

Just think of all the things in life,
That came about because,
Of just one action made by you,
Effect brought on by cause;

So if I changed things, anything,
That I did yesterday,
To make things better than they are,
Would I regret today?

                                              Judy Ball

Guess that's why God fixed it so we can't go back in time and change history.
We have to make sure brain is in gear before putting anything in motion.
Because what we do today cannot be undone tomorrow.
