IF I KNEW THEN

If I knew then what I know now,
Would I have done things different?
Would I change some things I've done,
To stop regret's occurrence?

Or perchance if I change,
My life in any way,
Would I do it different now,
Change mayhap just one day?

Just think of all the things in life,
That came about because,
Of just one action made by you,
Effect brought on by cause;

So if I changed things, anything,
That I did yesterday,
To make things better than they are,
Would I regret today?

Guess that's why God fixed it so we can't go back in time and change history.
We have to make sure brain is in gear before putting anything in motion.
Because what we do today cannot be undone tomorrow.

Feeling the Flow

The sea has its rhythm, it cares not for ours
If urgent and hasty we press on more sail
The pulse of its waves does not change or respond
They still toss us aside in the gale

The music of dance does not change to our pace
When we feel that the steps are too slow
If we block out its beat and rush on without care
Loss of timing and place will just grow

Neither plants nor live creatures are bound by our will
Deep cycles guide them to what’s right
No harvest in winter will ever bear fruit
Nor tall trees grow up overnight

By watching and hearing we learn if were wise
To take care, and take time, not just race
Let all of life’s deep graceful rhythms be felt
And cherish life’s natural pace.

Sunlight

Beams of sunlight change their colour
When passes thru stained glass
They look oh so crimson red
Beams of sunlight change their colour
When passes thru dense foliage
They look oh so earthy green
Beams of sunlight change their colour
When passes thru shimmery pool
They look oh so inviting blue
Beams of sunlight change their colour
When passes thru skin so white
They look oh so candy pink
Beams of sunlight change their colour
When passes thru ice
They look oh so snowy white
Beams of sunlight change their colour
When passes thru me
They look oh so divinely soulful.....

Change

Change

Change your Name
Change your Address
Change your Appearance
Change your Opinion
Even change your tipple to raise a toast
But you will never change your spot's
At best pray you cover there track's

Web

nothing but sorrow, nothing but the ache
nothing but memories that whisper your name
nothing but sadness, too severe
nothing but silence is still living here

too many bridges were burned
too many lessons unlearned
no promises to be broken
tender lies sweetly spoken

I couldn't change your heart
I couldn't from the start
I couldn't change your mind
I couldn't be more blind

a tangled, twisted web
intricately woven in red
a love that will not flourish
starves without being nourished
