If I Had Wings
If I had wings I’d fly away
to a land where there are no cares.
I’d rest on the breeze, and soar through the trees,
and up over the mountains high in the air.
If I had wings, I’d fly to the north,
and see the top of the world.
I’d go over the sea, and the sailing ships.
I’d travel to the North Pole, so cold.
If I had wings, I’d fly to the south,
and see its frozen wasteland so bare.
Why, if I had wings, I’d sail away
to a mythical land with wonders rare.
