If I Had Known

If I could eat enough, That everything is fine between us. Everything is shaky with us of course, But you did come to me. If I knew how I felt, I would have said I wouldn't leave. I don't need your sympathy, You'd better give me a star. If I knew what I needed, Then I would have gone to my goal long ago, We would live together very amicably, Everyone would have looked on with envy. If I knew you could, Touch the strings of the soul with words, I would feel love on my skin, I would risk loving you by sinning. If I knew I could leave, I would know if I could stay, There was a painful pressure in my chest, And I was ready to give up on you. If I'd known you were waiting, I would have been ready to go a long time ago, But your messages are full of water, And I'm drowning in doubt quietly.
