If I Ever Knew

If I ever knew this day would come when my muse stops showing up and words stop flowing through, I would have breezed upon each chapter all these breaths l feel for you. If I ever knew our bench would once be empty, Creases vanish from my coat Our peach tree lies unaccompanied , and Spring-gardens will turn cold. If I ever knew a night would come where I stopped counting stars in the jazzy sky so blue ... I would have stopped the time in yester's arms, and whispered , I love you.

This is a beautiful poem, Charmaine. Such precious sentiments.. you have a special way with words. I really like these lines in particular: "I would have breezed upon each chapter all these breaths I feel for you." Always, Laura

Prophesy is often an Art that saddens the heart Charma, it is better not to rob the future of it's rewards and punishments, it's suspense and justice...no other Poetess speaks of her heart the way you do. Your muse is whispering for you still my Lady Hawk...J.A.B.

Three years old wow. And this piece reminds me of myself. My last piece was written while watching someone who has a spell on me. I saw her yesterday

So pleased your muse has returned with a flourish, Charm! In life we must grab each moment as it comes, otherwise tomorrow could be too late. Love the last two lines. ~ Regards // paul
