If I Could Talk To God - Act 2

For all around, this world I can see
Destruction, betrayal as the impoverished plea
Palestine, Israel and these Belfast child's
A world of man, in destructive wild

We have been here
For millions of years
Why in over two thousand
We have many tears, and many fears

People became leaders, their population steered
An unknown word suppression, alleyed their fears
They were told what was right, told what was wrong
The unbelievers, well they never belonged!

In every society, there has been a written book
Through modern centuries, we have been told to look
And if we look, and these words have been found
Is is purely belief, or are these words so profound

I am no seer, but my eyes can see
My name is Semaj, and i have no plea
You are here today, respect your tomorrow
For my words above!

Thank you Olive. Of the many poems that I've written, this one stands out from a remembering of it being written. When I browse back, sometimes I'm amazed at what I've put down into words, James :)x

no religion is absolutely true but what's best to be taken into consideration is our personal relationship with Him.. no matter what religion we are in, how we live and love matters most

This write is also very interesting James. I think the time as come for humanity to find the higher consciousness, and start a new way of thinking. History has proven that a change in our thinking is enevitable, for all that men have seen is death and destruction. Sincerely, Moses

I believe in the almighty, straight from the heart, but not in religion, that tears us apart, all the questions we ask in relation, the answers are their in our minds for salvation. A thought filled universe, created by thought, to carry on creating, for appreciation we ought! well written, love Simone
