If I Could Love You

Dear poet, if I could love you,
I’d dive deep into the depths of your soul,
I’d unravel the mysteries that make you blue,
And discover the secrets you hold.

I’d understand why you yearn for the birds,
And what makes you long for their song,
I’d journey with you to the undiscovered worlds,
And see the beauty of the unknown.

Together, we’d explore the desert sands,
And witness the wildflowers bloom,
We’d watch the waves crash on distant lands,
And marvel at the beauty of the moon.

We’d lose ourselves in the depths of the lakes,
And feel the water’s cool embrace,
And in those moments of pure escape,
We’d feel alive, in a sacred place.

And I’d see you talking to God,
As you pour out your heart and your soul,
I’d witness your faith, your love, your awe,
As you find your way to be whole.
