If Ever a Blaze
If ever a blaze
burned everything down,
my collection of poems
I would take...crawling on these knees,
breathing until smoke will suffocate me.
Everything else will be incinerated,
becoming ashes that the wind will disperse.
The two things that I adore the most are:
my life and my poetry, one cannot survive
without the other; take both away
and there will be darkness.
