Idol

I loved you so
My love became obsessive
Lost grip on my life,
On my soul,
My life,
Myself
It was all about you
Nothing, nobody else
I allowed you to have control
Before I knew it, you became my idol
I worship everything about you
Spent my time trying to please you
I lost touch with God
Change my ways to please you
In my eyes, you were my king
I realized no men on earth,
deserve that much power
God is the only spirit that I praise,
Worship,
Love unconditionally…

We have to be careful
Not to let a person become
Our idol
