Idle Idol

Idle Idol
Hobbes Feb 23/2010

Analyze the world's problems,
Each one sticking truer still.
We lose our voice,
We lose our minds,
We lose our own free will.
Our greatest leaders cower now.
March forward for our idle idol.

Look back to our earlier days,
Leaders hid behind the front.
We fall so fast,
We fall away,
All for a stupid stunt.
Our world was lost from the start,
Thrown away for our idle idol.

Great wars were fought to please these men,
As they sit wasting away.
They never think,
They never act,
They'll live to rue the day.
The day we surrendered control,
Gave it all to an idle idol.
