Ice Maiden
The Ice Maiden marches
on gelid toes
through the weeks she wanders
and goes
to all and every house
each day
leaving sparks
of sparkling gray.
She comes your way
moving fast
leaving the whirling wind aghast,
at her pace
it can’t keep going
too much longer before
it quits blowing.
When she is gone and the trees
covered in ice,
her job replete she leaves a slice
of her sweet frosting
for those who find her
kiss too cool, remember
Who
designed her.
