Ice Cream For Dinner

Walk in the kitchen No food in the fridge If half of y'all would have experienced that Y'all would have jumped off a bridge So ice cream for dinner My cavities are a winner The game of life I'm only a beginner And when I talk about Michele in vain Does it make me a sinner I will defend I will ascend Starving cause my money was played with By someone who was suppose to be my friend I walked away from the rose So that it would grow and glow There are no regrets Friend turns into foes Ice cream melts Feelings and hurt Emotions are felt The hurt lingers but it is mixed I am in love so I do not fear it But I wonder what has been broken can be quickly fixed I do not fear to roam free Searching for other rose As I can’t suffer alone For the rest of days This is neither a tribute nor a self punishment Anywhere But Here is my convenient I'm in pain but I'm loving it There may never be a day That won't bring me to my knees But that is the price of a love I paid it all including tax and fees Who am I I cry and yet I try To find. Years behind What's behind me Wasted time Captivating thoughts in an eradicated mind Fabricated love speaking liquid lines Butter pecan skin melts as the sun shines We was all taught how to read But why wasn't we taught how to read in between the lines I could be talking about you And you not even know One Day You'll Understand But will you take the time to understand what or who you don't know Ice cream and friendships melt Whether its on a cone or in a bowl Some of us are Kool-Aid In disguise as wine But we're all thirsty for love so we continue to stand in line Shadow The Hedgehog may fool you for a porcupine All ice cream melts Including mine
