I wrote my name in snow,
the snow that lay upon your grave;
Oh, my darling, I have become death's slave,
your engraved name aglow-
Calls me in the darkness,
and in my dream I come walking;
is that you who whispers my name talking,
in this cold vast starkness-
I need to turn away,
time for me to put out this flame;
oh, my darling please stop calling my name,
let me start a new day-
