I Write a Poet's Worth
I don't write for the money it may earn
Vital lessons of life, it makes easy to learn
I write to share an experience
Like a flower in a varied ambiance
One on a birthday smells as sweet
One on a death bed, celebrates retreat
I write to open a dialogue box
The opinions, whether they chide or coax
So long as they come straight from heart
Serve the purpose and make my writing smart
I write to put on record
All the ambitions I need to escort
Lest they fall by wayside
I retain a pen and a pad, by my bedside.
