I Wonder

I wonder, as I wander
in this walk I have today
though blows may come against me
I will not be down to stay

for in this walk before me
there is much that I must do
and God has set my footsteps
so I’m sure He’ll get me through

We, Christians must remember
the enemy’s not far from trailing
with his viscous attacks plummeting
he strives to see us failing

But my Lord and Savior Jesus
has made a way for me
though the road be hard and winding
It’s that road that makes me free

So I keep my eyes set forward
paying no mind of this day
my goal ... it stand before me
In my Fathers house to stay

I pray our spiritual leaders
don’t get bruised and battered down
You’re on the right road surely
For we will receive our heavenly crown
