I Won The Lottery Today

I won the Lottery today,
Now, in a jet, I’ll mainly stay.
The dirt will never touch my feet,
My bottom in a Hermes seat.
I wonder why it took ‘til I am old,
For Fate to give me the Gold.
When I think what I might have done,
If I’d won, ‘fore I was done.
Still, I expect to have fun,
Chasing around the World, the Sun.
I wonder what the surf is like today,
In that place called Hanalei?
Maybe I’ll have them start the jet,
To see how hot the exhaust can get,
It won’t cost even a thousand bucks,
Six technicians, and two trucks.
What else have I got to do?
Now that I can’t visit you,
Or the other common folk,
Who would love to choke
Me for being so darn rich
That I can satisfy any itch.
Around the World on a whim,
An extra pound? Buy a gym!
Yes, life is really very good,
Though I can’t see my old neighborhood,
When sitting in my leather seat,
At over thirty thousand feet.
I could fly to Monaco, and could lose,
All my money, if I choose.
Only a few hour flight,
Take a steamer back, all contrite.
But then I couldn’t have the fun,
Above the Earth, the Lonely One.
No matter where you go, or how you play,
From yourself, you can’t run away.
