I Wish I Were An Octopus
I wish I were an octopus
I’d swim around and make a fuss
and with my legs all spread askew
I’d grab some fish and make fish stew.
Then I’d go swim into a cave
I’d go deep down, not be afraid
I’d poke and tickle a catfish
and open clams, do what I wished.
And when a sea storm came along
I’d stick like glue and be so strong
sometimes I’d need to hide away
from bigger fish who hunt and prey.
If I am out or nearly caught
I’d squirt and make an inky blot
how fun to be so mischievous
I wish I were an octopus!
