I Wish I Was a Sloth
I Wish I was a Sloth
I wish I was a Sloth, hanging from a Tree,
Because If I was a Sloth; no more work for me.
The pace of life would suit me fine,
No need to be there, no need to be on time.
Suspended floppily upside down,
No need of excitement, no need of a frown.
I’d have to be a Vegan Sloth, eat only berries and fruits,
No Insects or Lizards, just healthy nutritious shoots.
I’d be right at home, in the rain forests of Peru,
After all, in England, it rains a lot here too.
I wouldn’t have to wear my three-piece suit or tie,
Spend my days naked, looking toward the sky.
So, I wish I was a Sloth hanging from a Tree,
If I was a Sloth, such happiness the life for me.
