I WISH I HAD
I wish I had greater understanding
About this girl that I might really love
I’m a plane just waiting for a landing
Seen circling in the cloudless sky above
Some friends of hers have given me the wink
And sed at me with some derision
Perhaps I need a little more time to think
I wish I had facts for a decision
She seems just like a Goddess without fault
To her charms I’m lacking all resistance
But there’s disturbing rumours of assault
Perhaps I should keep a safer distance
I’m left not knowing if she’s good or bad
I don’t have a clue, but I wish I had
