I Wish
I wish to live as certain as a bird
Like I wish to stand on my own feet as firm as a tree
I wish to sing as soft as a breeze
Like I wish to dance as graceful as the swaying leaves
I wish to be cheerful as pretty as a rose
Like I wish to grow old as age as the mother earth
I wish to be strong as tough as the ocean waves
Like I wish to smile as hopeful as the sunrise
I wish to love as gentle as the baby’s hand
Like I wish to cry as hard as the pouring rain
I wish to forgive as sincere as God
Like I wish to forget miseries as fast as the hurricane
I wish to strive as determined as a vow
Like I wish to dream as free as a cloud
